Galway Film Centre host May After Effects Training with Keith Bailey
2017-04-19 9:45:00 : Katie McNeice
The two-day training will take place on Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th of May in the Galway Film Centre, suiting both beginners and self-taught users of After Effects.

It serves as an introductory tour of the 2D compositing and text animation features and tools of After Effects CC2017.

The course will cover compositing using layers, transformation, masking and use and customisation of presets and effects. Additionally a real-world broadcast compositing exercise will be completed. Attendees will also become comfortable exploring the connections from After Effects to other Creative Cloud products such as Photoshop and Illustrator.

This is an introductory tour of After Effects covering ingest through to export guided by the only Adobe Certified Instructor for After Effects in all-Ireland.

Day One:

  • Learning the Workflow
  • Basic Animation using Effects and Presets
  • Animating Text
  • Rendering and Exporting

Day Two:

  • Working with Masks: Replacing Computer Screen Content
  • Animating a Logo
  • Compositing using Rotobrushing, Puppet Tools and Custom Expressions

About the tutor:
Keith has provided training and consultation in post-production creative media software and workflow practices after being sponsored by Apple to become an Apple Certified Trainer in Final Cut Pro 5 in 2007. Since then, he has expanded his certified repertoire and remains all-Ireland’s only Apple Certified Master Trainer and Adobe Certified Instructor for Premiere Pro and After Effects.
