‘Free your Film’ With Darklight |
| 28 Jul 2010 | Sony Ericsson has collaborated with the Darklight Festival to find three aspiring film makers in Ireland, and help them make a short film each. The competition finalists will receive a €3,000 budget, a Sony Ericsson Vivaz HD video/camera phone and production support to make their short film. The finished shorts will be premiered on the opening night of the Darklight Festival, 28 October 2010. |

Kerry FF Showcases Irish Shorts in Soho |

GAZE Film Festival Comes of Age |

The festival runs from Thursday, July 29th to Monday, August 2nd in the Light House Cinema, Dublin. Said debt of gratitude was this year officially recognised by her Galway Film Fleadh co-founders and the Irish Film and Television Academy who joined forces to celebrate Lelia with an ‘In Conversation with…’ event and the presentation to her of the prestigious Galway Hooker award at the festival’s closing ceremony. |

Irish Shorts at Rushes Soho Shorts Fest |
| 14 Jul 2010 | Both ‘The Pool’ from Thomas Hefferon (Loose Change) and ‘Cold Turkey’ by Gavin Keane have been officially selected to screen this year at the Rushes Soho Shorts Festival in the event’s International category. The title sequence from TG4 series ‘Na Cloigne’ has also been selected to compete at the festival in the Broadcast Design group. The festival runs from the 21st to the 31st of July. |

'The Runway' Lands Best Irish Feature at Fleadh |
| 12 Jul 2010 | The Galway Film Fleadh Closing Ceremony saw Ian Power’s ‘The Runway’ take the event’s Best Irish Feature title, whilst Risteard Ó Domhnaill’s ‘The Pipe’ claimed the award for Best Feature Documentary and ‘Undertow’ from Javier Fuentes-Leon (Espacios) was dubbed the Best First Feature. Furthermore, Fleadh co-founder Lelia Doolan was presented with the Galway Hooker award at the ceremony. |
