Red Rock requires a Story Producer

We are seeking applicants for a Story Producer position to work with the existing editorial team on TV3’s continuing series, Red Rock. The position available is for the fourth series of Red Rock from August 2017 to Feb 2018.

Following its launch on TV3 in January 2015, the hit series has gone from strength to strength and has also been sold to Amazon Prime in the US. The show premiered on BBC One on 11th July 2016 to a consolidated audience of 1.3million, making it an instant hit and one of Ireland’s most successful television exports. On top of its international success, Red Rock has won critical acclaim at home as well as numerous awards at the prestigious IFTA Awards.

Red Rock is commissioned by TV3, part of the Virgin Media Group and is being sold internationally by All3Media International. The drama is Executive Produced by Ed Guiney of Element Pictures and John Yorke of Angel Station. Set around a busy police precinct in a fictional seaside town just outside of Dublin, Red Rock follows the inner workings the Garda Station, reflecting the complex reality of Irish society and our beloved characters who are at the frontline.

The Story Producer will be responsible for:

  • Developing and writing long term and short term storylines for the series.
  • Pitching storylines to the Showrunner and Executive Producers for approval and writing the final story documents to be presented to the writers.
  • To work with the writers in the Writers Room to break stories.
  • Ensuring that scheduled deadlines are met.

The ideal candidate would work best in a team environment, be adaptable to the Writers Room system and must have previous experience in a similar role.
Experience with one-hour continuing drama is preferable.

To apply please email CV and cover letter to recruitment @ redrock.ie on or before 24th July.
