Cathal Goan Steps down as DG of RTÉ |
| 23 Jul 2010 | Following its meeting on Thursday, July 22nd the Board of RTÉ announced that it will shortly begin the process to appoint a new Director-General of RTÉ having accepted the decision of the Director-General, Cathal Goan, to step down from his position having served his full seven-year term. |

State Assets Review Group Target RTÉ & TG4 |
| 23 Jul 2010 | Minister for Finance Brian Lenihan has established a specific Group to examine state assets and liabilities and to advise him on how the assets can be better used or disposed of to support economic growth and national investment priorities. The Group, chaired by co-author of last year’s so-called ‘Bord Snip Nua’ report, has already begun its task of examining selected public-sector assets, including commercial State companies such as RTÉ, ESB and TG4. |

Green Inc to Co-Produce 'The One Show' Shorts |
| 23 Jul 2010 | Belfast-based Green Inc and London indie CTVC have announced their first joint commission, namely nine short films for BBC1’s ‘The One Show’. The films will mark the first fruit of the indies’ formal joint venture, established last autumn. The companies will co-produce the films out of Northern Ireland but they will be filmed across the UK. Green Inc’s other new project ‘Glorious Gardens’ will start broadcasting next Monday. |

Toto in Pre-Production with RTÉ Dating Show |
