The romantic comedy feature film 'Screw Cupid’, which was scored by Los Angeles based Irish composer Ciarán Hope, has won the Audience Award at the 2008 International Delray Beach Film Festival. This rounds up a busy year for Hope who has recently been assigned to score the signature music theme for the Solstice Arts Centre in Ireland. more

12 Dec 2008 €15.5m Increase for BCI Sound & Vision Fund
As the Broadcasting Bill concluded Committee Stage today, Communications Minister Eamon Ryan announced that he will increase funding for the Sound and Vision programme by 2% on the previous allocation increasing total investment in Ireland's independent television production to almost €15.5 million in 2009. more
